What if the Earth were the center of the solar system?


 

Contrary to many people's beliefs, the earth is not the center of the universe.

 But what if it were?

What if those medieval astronomers were right, and everything revolves around you?


How will this change what we know about the sun?

 In what ways will other planets revolve around us?

 And how will this affect your daily life?


About a thousand years ago, it was widely accepted that the earth was the center of the universe. If you were an ancient man looking at the night sky, you would see the sun, moon and stars revolving around you.

This was the geostric model of the solar system. He placed the earth right in the center. And this model has been used for a long time, from about 3 BC. Until the 5th century.

Ultimately, more modern scientific observations and knowledge meant that this idea could no longer be supported. It was replaced by the heliocentric model, which places the sun at the center of our solar system.

But just because it's easy doesn't mean it's true.

What if all the complexities of a geocentric universe were really true?


If Earth were the center of the solar system, you would have to learn a lot from what you know about the universe.

The earth will now be in the middle of everything. There will be many layers of other celestial orbits around us. The moon will be right in front of us. Then the sun. Then Venus, Mercury, Mars and the rest of the planets in the solar system.

Beyond that is a sphere with all the stars. And beyond that, the end of the universe as we know it. If rearranging this arrangement meant that the laws of gravity remained the same, the size of the earth and the sun would have to change dramatically.

Our planet will have to be bigger, and the sun smaller. The largest planet in the solar system is now Jupiter, and its mass is only 0.6% of the Sun. And Jupiter is three times bigger than Earth. So this will require some significant changes in the neighborhood of our planets.

A small sun will no longer be able to power itself with fusion. So you will get very little sunlight. It will have a huge impact on climate and life on Earth. The average temperature will drop. And they will continue to shrink until the earth turns into a big ice ball.

As for the other planets, they will no longer rotate in their elliptical patterns. Instead, they revolved around the earth in some strange orbits. But we'll get back to that in a moment. All the planets will revolve around us at different speeds. But the orbit of the moon will not be the same. Its orbit will change every month. It will be chaos.

And it will be a wonderful sight for astronomers to see all the stars here. Sometimes it will look like all the planets are moving backwards.

This is because the planets will not only revolve around the earth. Instead, they will follow their own small orbit, called an epic cycle. And as a result, this ridiculous path around the earth will come out. At least the earth is still in its seasons. But not because of the earth's axis. Instead, it will be because the sun will move up and down the celestial equator because it will be orbiting us. It will warm the Northern Hemisphere in one place and the Southern Hemisphere in another.

Is this geo-centric model giving you a headache?

 Maybe now is the time to listen to the overwhelming evidence that you are not at the center of the universe. But perhaps not all old ideas are wrong. There may be an alien civilization hidden inside our planet and to find it you need to search deep below the surface of your world.
